When
we blow the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah it reminds us that we
are constantly waiting to hear Moshiach's shofar.
In
the times of the Beis HaMikdash one the most important avodah (service)
was accomplished by the Cohen Gadol. If he did everything with the proper
kavanah, (intentions) only then would the Jews be forgiven. A red string
would turn white, symbolizing that the Jews are now pure. So too, when
Moshiach comes, we will all
be pure and not sin any more.
One
of the reasons we celebrate Succos is to remind us of the Clouds of Protection
that protected the Jews in the desert. These clouds also washed and pressed
their clothes until they sparkled. So too, when Moshiach will come. Clothes
will grow on trees, and we won't have to spend time caring for them. We
will spend all our time learning Torah.
On
Simchas Torah we celebrate the Conclusion of the Reading of the Torah.
When Moshiach comes he will teach us many secrets of the
Torah that were never known before. It will be as if we are learning a
"new" Torah.
